I have a 2014 Yamaha AR192 and its starter motor does not turn over. I replaced the battery, checked the fuses and the rear platform hatch but it still does not turn over. Before I take the boat to a Yamaha dealer, does anyone have an idea or two as to what other checks I can perform. Thanks.

Is it in neutral? Just a hair off will cause it not to turn over. Do you get power to anything? Like radio, lights, horn, bilge, etc? When checking the rear hatch safety switch did you try adjusting or taping a dime or nickel above it to depress it more and trying to start it again?

Yes, I tried all of the above. I have power to radio, bilge, etc. I am getting no sound, not even a click.

Hmmmm find your starting solenoid and jump the two bolts to see if you can get the starter to turn over. Hopefully it's as easy as a new solenoid!

Check the safety kill switch by the throttle.

Was it starting at all this season and just now won’t turn over? Or did you just hook up the battery(ies) and it hasn’t started at all? Its possible a ground wire or a positive cable might have been missed when re hooking up.

On later models there is a fuse right on the solenoid…you might look for that.
