2015 242 Limited S (and AR240) nits and solutions

Charleston Jet,

In reply to your original post, here is what I've done so far:

- rear storage compartments, drilled a very small hole into the face the seat rests onto and placed a small eyelet into the back of the seat and attached both with a small bungee cord.

As for the seat - I zip tied some double folded pipe installation to the bar. Just tested it out yesterday - HUGE improvement!

Still working on the jet flush ports, I too don't care for the location. Thinking a pvc double 90 with a ball valve on top would work best.
Would love to see some pictures of the rear storage mod! Sounds like a winner.

MikeyL,

I purchased some 1/2" pipe insulation from Lowe's. Cut off the appropriate length, squished it flat then folded it over and attached via zip ties. You could also just double the application. When I get back into town I'll send pics (two weeks from now).

@Bennie: Could you for now just tell me WHERE and WHAT ITEM you put this insulation on, and what problem did it solve, please ?
Sorry to be such a dumb-A** ......... LOL !

MikeyL

Of course - when standing at the captain's chair, with the bolster up there is a 1/4" metal bar that rubs against your calfs and makes them VERY sore. (quite quickly too may I add)

I purchased some 1/2" pipe insulation (from any hardware store) and secured it over that bar with the zip ties. Poke a hole through it and secure it. It makes a HUGE difference.

I hope this helps.

VERY much appreciated, @Bennie. Sure hope you bought that great boat from Wedowee ! (Lake Wedowee)~ They are the BOMB !

If I help ya on anything with it, please hit me up on a PM ! Best Wishes, Mikey

I have both.

Now, where is this fancy board software's solution for that? Huh? Talk about nits and annoyances!

Oh, er... Oh, the 2015 boat nits... er... Yeah, well, nevermind.

My ski locker opens all the way and has a gas strut.

Pretty sure they all have a gas strut, but mine certainly does not open all the way to 90 degrees.

Mine either. @McMark, if you have a way to open it all the way I sure would appreciate it. I HATE wresting the gear out of that angled-into-my-face lid!!
