Found a 2016 212X listed locally. Says there is 132 hours on the engines. Freshwater only. Interior looks clean and in good shape from the photos. Listed for $30k. Seems like its too good to be true price-wise based off of other ads I have seen for similar. IF I were to go look at it, is there anything I should be looking for? Questions I should be asking? Thanks in advance.

Doesn’t sound legit in this current market but it’s worth investigation further to determine legitimacy before proceeding.

Thats about where I'm at with my hours and I trailer most of the time. I'm assuming its on a trailer? Check the oil level (milky, clear, dark), run the engines, engine cooling pissers usually have water coming out, but not a must on the hose. Check if they have maint. records (professional or do it yourself). Check all compartments for anything out of the ordinary..water stains, mildew, fiberglass cracks, If possible get underneath with a flashlight and check both sides of the impellers (nicks, dings, bent) also check wear rings for abnormal wear or colors. Check steering feel and have someone check the buckets while shifting and the feel of the throttles. Check the clean out plugs...have they been taken care of and lubed? Under the hatch for the clean out plugs is a access cover to the bilge, pull the hatch and look around with a flashlight.
It will be obvious right away if its been taken care of or not (covered, vinyl protected or cracked, fading, carpet clean, etc..)
Do your homework on this site and reach out to us if you have any questions.. Good Luck!

Price seems to be awful low. Appears to be $15k-20k low. I guess when something seems too good to be true, unless they don't know current values or its an family/friend, I am very cautious. That is a lot of money to walk away from, at least for me :)

Hope it works out, that would be an awesome deal if everything is in order.

The boat in the photos is on a trailer. I agree it’s almost too good to be true. I have reached out asking a few basic questions and my ability check it out. Will post back as I know more.

Due to the lack of a response from the seller, I think we were all correct in our thoughts that this was not a legit sale.

Admin - feel free to close this if need be.

Hours don't seem out of line. I've got a 2017 with ~160hrs on it.

Lots of things to look for. I'll be happy to ride along/meet for an inspection if you like.

$30k for that boat is roughly 75% of market price IMO. 2021 212X just sold on here last week from Sellersburg for $62k. I would suspect a NICE condition '17 212X to be closer to $45k or so.

Ignore me. Just saw the other post......oops

Or they posted it and people let them know it was too low and things changed. Never can tell.

If/when the time comes, I will most likely be reaching out to you (if you don't mind), to take a look or ride along. Will make me feel better with a purchase knowing that I have someone that has experience and can look/listen for things that I may not know about.

It's suspicious! Check out this listing in a different state with the same description and pictures.

As the saying goes..... if its too good to be true, then it probably is.

Saw another one for a 242 Limited for under $35k. Just felt suspicious.
