2022 Yamaha Boat Updates

I would love to catch a FSH210 under 30k. Probably hopeful wishing, but I will need a center console to rent out.

If they ever get to that price and I haven't upgraded, I will have two boats :) All the fishing mods I can just transfer over.

They are coming up 5 years old (maybe 6) - I don't think it is too far fetched in a normal market and someone looking for a quick cash sale.

My dealer had a 2022 Sapphire 255XD on the lot yesterday. This is the exact boat that we are 3rd in line for. I was able to climb over it and take the wife over to look at. Boat is beautiful. We can’t wait, and hoping for not too many kinks to work out after we get it. I’ve been reading this forum to help me know what to look out for. Keep the comments coming!

SD vs SE. Is the SD worth the premium?

$5k to do something everyone has managed to live without for 25 years of Yamaha boat existence? Another thing to consider is the drive components take up storage room under one of the back seats.

By that logic Yamaha should have never bothered getting into the jet boat business because everyone had managed to get by for hundreds of years with sail boats. Just because something didn't exist before doesn't always mean that its a waste to have it now.

Agreed on that point, but is it worth 5k? I have WaveRunners and it's all I know on them. On a boat, I think it might be less important b/c it has a throttle(s) and a steering wheel vs a handlebar--so having a one hand for forward and one hand for reverse isn't as important.

Guys need some reassurance . I am technically the 1st in line for a AR210. Dealer said the price is $52,494 + $530 PREP +$895 TAX. That doesn’t sound bad right? My thing is they are telling me they don’t expect it to arrive until January- March. That sounds way to long or is this about right?

I'm not necessarily saying it's "worth" $5k but I don't blame Yamaha for trying to recoup what was surely a sizeable investment in the tech. Obviously similar 2nd and 3rd gen tech will be more affordable to the masses and everyone will benefit.

We all throw a lot of money at our toys and don't think twice about it. I may not need it, but if it comes in handy once in a while then to me it's worth it. Especially for my wife who drives the boat only 2-3 times per year and doesn't quite grasp the conventional steering methods very well.

I wrote a short review of the feature here: https://jetboaters.net/threads/drive-review.32745/

I'll add that it helps a lot navigating around fallen wakeboarders and avoiding the tow rope with confidence. Money well spent in my book. Of course this feature also kept my boat in the shop for around 2 months. So maybe it was a bad choice. When it works, I love it. https://jetboaters.net/threads/maiden-voyage-failure-2021-252sd.32266/

It is in the zone. Make sure your deposit is refundable for any reason if you decide to walk away.

Also ask him for a detailed breakdown of all the numbers. Tax seems low, but I guess that depends where you live at.

I agree about getting a detailed breakdown of all the numbers. Is the $530 dealer prep or document prep?

MSRP on the boat is $49,800. The difference between $52,494 and $49,800 is $2,694, which in this current market is a good price for freight and dealer prep.

Seems like a good deal, in comparison to what everyone else is saying. What state are you in?

Two months in the shop?
Yea. Had to take it back multiple times. ? Hopefully adjusting the steering cable tension has resolved the issue now.

I still need a new amplifier. Cables are zip tied to create a good connection to my speakers on the left side.

The Dealer I’m working with told me they were allocated 5 210FSH’s I’m 3rd in line…I still have no idea what that means… when should I expect my boat? The lack of information is extremely frustrating

SC ! Yea , I guess what’s throwing me off is I am technically 1st on the list for a AR210 and he is telling me the delivery of it will likely not be until Jan-March.

seems extremely a long wait….But then again I called another dealer and they said that they shouldn’t be shipping any out until at least Thanksgiving. Lol .so who knows

Well the 210 is $49799 MSRP
So I assume $3225 for Freight and Prep, I was told $3000 for my 212. But #1 in line not till next year, hope my #1 slot for a 212 doesn’t take that long!

I am curious about timing too. I’m first in line for an AR250 and was told it would probably be winter some time. With some boats already being delivered, is this normal? We were cut from the 2021 list, so we’ll take it when we get it, but I was thinking that post-8/17, boats would start rolling out relatively quickly. Maybe not?
