So I'm fairly OCD, and was looking for a protectant I could apply to my blacktip elite mats prior to installation. Searched all over the net and posted on detailing forums I'm on and not a single peep. I had 2 mats that had tiny pinholes as part of the manufacturing process. Blacktip sent me 2 new mats, so I have some test mats. I have a gallon of 303 fabric guard so figured I'd give that a shot. Worked great as far as application goes. No staining or weird spotting at all. I'll be doing the rest before installation. Hopefully this will keep any staining at bay.

Hello
How did that work out. Did it keep the mats from staining. Did it make them slick?

I used 303 fabric guard on all of my mats also. Has worked really well for me. FYI, it will make them a little slick when they get wet.

Thanks

Yeah it worked out fine on those, then I sold the boat. LOL! I also put it on my stock marine mat and it has been fine. I haven't noticed them being any more slippery, myself.
