Just found out from a co-worker that in some states the Road Fuel Tax can be reimbursed. Here are the States that I believe are doing this Alaska,California,Connecticut,Delaware,Mass.,Missouri,Nebraska,N.Carolina,Texas,Virginia,Washington. This is due to the Road Tax that all vehicles that drive on roads automatically get charged at the pumps, and since boats do not do that this portion can be refunded. Each State will have it's own rules. Missouri (Home) I need to fill out a legal form and send it in to the State office to keep on file and ALL Receipts for Boat fuel only will be sent in . Currently I think that's .17 cents a gallon here . If I am wrong please correct me but this can be a nice amount back in my pocket I mean Fuel Tank www.americanboating.org/fueltax.asp

In PA when you renew your registration they ask you to estimate your fuel usage, they use that to get the road tax money and its given to the fish commission
