Hello to all, my name is Dustin. I'm new to the forum and to jets. Since none of you know me ill quickly explain: its kinda how I do things, I decide im gonna be a part of something then I dive right in full force and never look back. hence this video series, I have never even been on a jet boat so I figure why not build one right? lol I could use some help along the way. here are some of my videos , I hope you enjoy them and get into my build. without giving to much away I am from the Midwest but this boat wont be like anything seen around here. if anyone has some tips or advice for me please don't be shy post, share, tag, comment whatever else the kids do the days. I got thick skin so your not gonna hurt my feelings any. most learning curves are short and sharp so help me do it right the first time.-thanks boys

Wow I love watching someone that knows what they are doing build something from scratch

I'm kind of surprised you don't put a gear box in to match the peak torque of engine to max rpm of pump. 5k all day on a big block sounds
Excessive

I wont be turning 5k often. this isn't a speed boat. most of my fishing will be in unfamiliar waters at night so running 30mph will be nice and safe. I should be able to do that with the 3.5k pump at about 3000rpm. biggest thing for me is hauling a load. 4-5 people,500-1000lbs of fish, bows, gear ect. that's why I went with the 3.5k impeller, power to move a heavy load.
