I have an Ipad that work gave me and it works fine, but it only has 16GB of storage, which is a ROYAL PITA, and one of the primary reasons I HATE Apple products.

So I've been pondering getting a Droid tablet as my next tablet and wondering if anyone on here has taken the foray into Droids.....

I would have loved to be able to load all my dive videos to a tablet and what them there. Instead I just plugged my GoPro card into my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Phablet and watched them there, which was functional, but would have been cool to have had an ok editor on a tablet and have thrown a quick video together of the best of my dives.....

Even after a couple years I still love my Nexus 10 and use it everyday, great tablet for size and performance. They did just release the Nexus 9 and that looks like a good tablet as well.

My 2 biggest complaints about the N10 are the lack of accessories (like a dock) and the lack of external memory slot for more memory. Outside of those it's been great.

Both of my kids have second generation Nexus 7s that they received last Christmas. They have lots of educational games on them and occasionally watch movies. I used a first generation Nexus 7 with Navionics on the boat for a year. They are quality devices easily as good as the i...s costing several times the price.

I have a Toshiba Tablet and my wife has a Samsung Tablet. Both my kids have iPads. I'm a big fan of Android over Apple. My Tablet also has a slot for SD Card. And I should clarify, I'd rather have a Samsung, but I got to good of a deal for the Toshiba.

As far as your videos, I've discovered Google Drive is a huge benefit for that. I know, I'm a little slow. But I've been uploading some of my favorite GoPro videos to it and I can view and any of my devices or computer. There's alos DropBox does the same.

I love both of my Samsung Tablets!

I LOVE my Droid Lenovo tablet.
I'ld get a Samsung if cost were of no object ........ But these 7" Lenovo's are so value-priced.
@Julian : If ya wait until Thanksgiving time, you're gonna see some GIVEAWAYS (price-wise) on DROID tablets.
Irresistible pricing. Good Luck and Best WIshes - Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA
(PS - And you're gonna the trillions of FREE stuff (applications that our friends from Google with their ANDROID op. sys. make available to us users !)

@MikeyL that is exactly why I'm poking around now....to see who has a competing model to Samsung's! I love theirs, but they are the Cadillac in terms of price....along with Microsoft Surface - which is an interesting option - that I might just buy for work!

I have 3 Moto xooms for work and 1 newer samsung10. The new samsung is glitchy and is not even close to as smooth as the older Motos. Im all Android with Galaxy phones and refuse to be an Itunes Hostage...as I type this on a Imac:oops:

Get your own 'cloud' drive from WD (My Book) and keep all of your data safe at home and access it from anywhere and any device.

I've got an older My Book and love the remote access.

Bump...Just received a Galaxy Tab S4 from my wife as a gift on our 27th Anniversary, today. Have been using a combo of Amazon Fire tablet and a Samsung S7 phone to take pics. and post for a while now, since my older, hand me down Mac. Died. So post quality should go up due to less "fat fingering" on the keyboard. Have not used yet, but I know I will like it.
