Thanks. I have only been out twice this year, hopefully going to get out in the fall. Been very busy with Work and Family.Glad to see you!
Personally I think that 295 SD is an awesome boat, windlass with a proper anchor roller, pump out head, small berth, spacious, meal prep station, siren connectivity so you can keep tabs on your boat, ample seating and storage, nice graphics on the large connext screen with RGB controls for the speakers and perhaps courtesy lighting. Also like the port side walkway for the bow seating, again tons of storage, maybe some of that storage is insulated drain overboard coolers?
As far as power goes, look at the target buyer, there is plenty of power for them to get some where quickly enough and cruise, cruise to a nice spot, drop the hook with the tink tink button and you’re having fun. The target buyers have probably moved on from top speed being their way to lay their dick on the hood of their truck…
Yamaha does do a great job of making entry level boats up this flagship model..
Take a nap next to the shitter. Love itI doubt they expect anyone to be spending the night in that "cuddy." It reminds me more of what you see on the Sea Ray SDX 250 and 270 models. A head/storage compartment with a filler cushion in case a kid wants to take a nap.
Overall, a good looking boat though.
It's insane they haven't managed to get the 1.9 super to market. All reports stated it was supposed to be this year.I have had a 275 for 5 years and can tell you that it is not maneuverable on one engine. This thing needed 600hp minimum. Guessing that’s why they’re sticking with the 1.8 to get the most they can out of them…
You can get a brand new Sea Ray SDX 270 Surf for 195k. Why would I spend 215k on the Yammy for 2 extra feet? Their track record for good surfing on these boats just isn't there.Shocked they haven’t released a surf wave video of their new 29’ surf boat. It’s only a guess but I’m wondering if they had to go that big and skip the 27 foot to have even more ballast and to finally make a good surf wave comparable with Nautique and some of the big players. The wave might not be as good but maybe it is close. I can’t believe they haven’t posted a video yet. They posted a video of the boat, but nothing with the surfing. I need to see that way way before I would consider spending over $200,000. Might also be a new hull design for better surf wave
I’ll wait till I see the wave for any judgment. This could have an epic Nautique g23 wave for all we know. You can get a brand new Sea Ray SDX 270 Surf for 195k. Why would I spend 215k on the Yammy for 2 extra feet? Their track record for good surfing on these boats just isn't there.
Maybe, but v-drive boats are a different beastI’ll wait till I see the wave for any judgment. This could have an epic Nautique g23 wave for all we know.
Theres a toilet that can be pumped (fixed not removable) and a sink and a little bed with pillow. Can someone post a link with a photo of the cuddy/storage/head compartment?
Except they ruined it with a cleanout port! The most interesting thing to me is the CrossWave. It seems like a really smart move. Fishing from PWCs is becoming increasingly popular, and that seems to be a nice blend of fishing skiff and waverunner, with all the right features.
Edit: Link:
Think the control panel above the toilet is for lights or could there be some HVAC trickery in there. The website seems very vague on what you all get for a boat of that size and price. I feel like a lot of other manufacturers provide a lot more information.Theres a toilet that can be pumped (fixed not removable) and a sink and a little bed with pillow.
I agree could also be radio controls in there or lighting for sureThink the control panel above the toilet is for lights or could there be some HVAC trickery in there. That would be huge for their target market.Wondering also if they've done something to the jet design/materials that would allow it to sit in salt water for a season.
