Anyone not happy with their AR192?

See, I was thinking of using the clean out drain hole but I didn't know if that would be OK. That way I can save from drilling into my new boat (I'm not emotionally ready for that yet haha).

The issue I find with the SVHO intercooler is availability since they don't seem to last long on there. I'm also having to come up with 25 reasons to post on greenhulk when I don't own a PWC anymore so that I can post a WTB thread in their classifieds section lol. I would also need to install an additional pisser and thru hull correct? Did you not have to do that for the Frozen Boost intercooler? Basically I'm looking for the most direct swap intercooler with minimal (if any) need to drill into my hull for thru hull fittings.

Just want to add my thoughts to this thread. I don't want people to get discouraged with their boats or decide not to buy one. My wife and I are 100% happy with our SX192. Every time we are on the water we talk about how perfect the boat is for us and how happy we are with it. We run with 2 adults and 3 small kids 90% of the time.

When we first bought the boat, I was instantly disappointed. Just like everyone else, I saw 50mph on the reviews, and that's what I expected. It would do 50mph, but only with a COLD engine in COOL water and COOL morning air. It was pretty obvious what the problem was.

As the summer got hotter, I couldn't deal with it anymore. One afternoon I couldn't get over 44mph with a Cold engine. Water temp was 92 and air temp was 95.

I pulled the flame arrestor, and it helped a little, but still had heat issues.

Long story short, I installed a "Type 14" intercooler with a dedicated water line and now the boat runs as it should.

HOT engine, HOT water, and HOT air, the boat will still run 50mph.

I have seen 52mph gps, but that is with low fuel and just me and a cooler in the boat.

With that said, I wouldn't recommend this boat for more than 4 adults. With 2 adults and 3 or 4 kids, it's perfect, but slows down quick with extra weight.

This is sweet! Love this video clip, worth 1,000 words.

Looking at the analog tachometer, you are pushing 7800, right? Which is basically perfect.

Post #66 is what I did for the extra pisser. https://jetboaters.net/threads/sx-192-mods.6550/page-4

Do we absolutely have to create another hole or is there some way we can just "tee" it into the existing pisser(s)? Your setup looks killer but my graphics get in the way of adding another pisser without it standing out like a sore thumb. Really would like to avoid drilling if its all possible so if we could tee into existing pissers that would be preferred for me.

I don't think you have to add a new one. I guess I just did it because I was adding a backup bilge pump and wanted everything to match.

This thread reminds me of the saying "Buy your second boat first". . . . . I hemmed and hawed over the 212X v.s. the AR240HO we opted for. . . and as soon as I took delivery on the water, I knew I made the right choice.

I am glad my 240 is not my first boat. :)

Thank you for sharing these tips, it was really useful
