Mornin all

Had a great weekend in the pool & on the boat only to have a chity Monday morning. 5:20am we had someone run the stop sign, fly 42’, land in the yard still on the gas and crash into our barn 150’ away from the road. Destroyed most of the barn that’s attached to the shop. Ripped out the electric meter and wiring out of the generator and lord know whatever else is messed up. Just finally got power restored to the house and able to keep the electric fence hot & water to the cattle. Not how I wanted to start the week.

Well, on the bright side, the car missed the boat sitting there!

Spent the morning finishing the cleanup of the horse stall area. Hopefully the contractor gets the back wall rebuilt tomorrow. Now it’s about time to take the boat out and enjoy the rest of the day.

More progress made today but they found that the top plate on the back wall is splintered so they’ll have to remove the steel and old siding to make repairs.

Dang, that was a quick clean up and repair. You had to have done that yourself. It would take months to get someone out these days.

I might as well get things going myself because other than the contractors that I have lined up to work, no one's in a hurry to get things going. It took until Thursday for the insurance company to send anyone out and they sent a Restoration company out to get an estimate on repair. The solar company still has not sent anyone out other than someone to assess the situation so I've still got live wires that may be compromised that we are having to work around.

That is why we have this house now instead of what was originally there. Guy had a heart attack and drove through the house, just like what happened to the barn but the house burnt to the ground.

And we still have some that decide to just take out the double arrow sign instead of a structure.

Looking good! Make sure they roll that zip tape, the pressure activates the bonding adhesive.

That car is screaming 'state minimum coverage', hope their policy is able to take care of you. Quick work on getting it shored back up though.

Update: The barn is almost back to it's former self. Almost have the horse stalls finished. Not too bad for having a car go through them and being able to save a majority of the steel pieces. Just had to do some tweaking and replacement of about 1/2 of the steel on the RH stall.
