We will see how much handwringing the politicians, enviro’s and other “stake holders” have that will delay the project… they need to get to making this happen and not mess around. Too much analysis paralysis these days…
 
The dam in question. I can’t even imagine how they would raise that 100ft. It’ll end up being a 1/4 mile wide.

This isn't SRP's first dam improvement rodeo.

They pulled off building a new dam behind the original on Roosevelt.

Almost 3/4 of a mile long. That’s a big one.

Wide yes, but not especially high in a lot of places. Would be interesting in seeing the amount of concrete necessary compared to other dams.
