Is there a way to check the battery voltage on a 2018 sx190 without cranking the engine? I don’t have a voltage meter but I assumed I could flip the key on AUX and it would let me click through the gauges but it just hummed for a min and clicked. I flipped the blower on for a few seconds and it fired right up and the switch light looked bright. I am taking the boat out tomorrow and I do have a jump pack but I was wondering if I should got out and buy a charger today and get it on charge before our outing?

Thanks

Brandon

I have a switch I bought that I am going to install in my boat when I get a min to do it.. Here is a pic..
20180503_201142.jpg you can find many variations of this on line.. Its hard to see in the pic but there is an led panel on the bottom that is reading 12.5

20180505_073542.jpg If you don't want to install a switch you can turn the key just enough to get the starter to bump and then release. The gauges will initiate, cycle and you can get the voltage from there. I have a USB adapter that plugs into the 12v accessory plug in the glove box that when the battery switch is on cycles from voltage, temp, and amps being used. Got it from Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/Car-Charger-Smartphone-Temperature-Fahrenheit/dp/B00SWGWILI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1525520400&sr=8-1&keywords=Car+Charger+-+JEBSENS+-+4in1+3.1A+Fast+Dual+USB+Car+Phone+Charger,+Voltage+Meter+Monitor+USB+Car+Charger+for+Smartphone+with+Blue+LED+Voltage+Amps+and+Internal+Temperature(Fahrenheit)+Display+-+15W for $10. Works just fine.

All you have to do is bump the starter and the instrument cluster will come on for a minute or so. You do not need to actually turn over/crank the engine.
