Best mod ever? Engine hatch kit w/SeaDek

This has got to be one of the easiest and most useful mods ever for a 190/192 boat.
So much nicer getting in and out, especially for non-kids.

Agreed did same on or 195s. Looks good and functional. The extra traction for us and our dog alone, is worth the investment.

Kit is still available and did it on mine. Cheap, and a great upgrade.

Edit: Oh, you are talking about the split seat kit? Haven't seen that in a long while. The step over pads are a great addition too though.

I believe I read on here that JBP used to have an upholsterer that made the 3 cushions, provided the metal snap kit for the middle one, then used to make the SeaDek pad.

I would believe a Marine Mat pad and another upholstery shop could perform this trick, however I do not recall anyone else on here successfully recreating this product.

Resurrecting this thread. I am a new owner of a 2015 sx190. I can't find this step anywhere to avoid stepping on the engine hatch cushion. Has anyone come up with alternate mod to prolong the life of the engine hatch cushion.? I can imagine every passenger stepping on it over time is going to destroy the engine hatch.
