Bilge pump and ski locker

Not sure what width or thickness you're looking for, but here's a few...what length are you looking for as well? I used this stuff on my cleanout tray, and it'll work quite well, in my experience. If these don't work, the search terms I used is "neoprene gasket weatherstrip", and then you'd just sift through the results to find something specific.

These two are 1/2" thickness, in two different widths:

There's other thicknesses, this is 1", but that seems like it's too much to me, not sure what your thoughts are, but this shows there's options available:

Thanks. I was thinking 3/4”.… Height, not width. 1/2” width seems about right. Probably need about 9 feet. But I would consider buying a whole bunch of it… maybe about 30 feet, since the gasket for my gas tank cover panel could use some love as well. Do you think three-quarter inch is overkill? I just want to make sure that what I buy does the job for a long time. I don’t want to have to revisit issue of water overflowing my ski locker gasket anymore.

Since you said it's already leaking, or at the very least you're going to replace it, slice off a small piece and measure the thickness of the OEM stuff. It'll be compressed, but if you have a piece large enough, you can manipulate it with your fingers to sort of "decompress" it to get an idea of what the OEM stuff is, and then get slightly thicker if that's your idea. Alternatively, make sure there's free returns, and buy both, and send back the one that won't work.

Having used 1/2" for the cleanout tray, it seems like 3/4" would be a bit much, but the swim locker hatches are SO long, it might not be a terrible idea. My only thought is that you'll always be able to get it to seal and compress around the handle, but the edges might get that potato chip look since there's no way to compress those outside edges sufficiently. The size seems like it'd be better served with two latches, but that would also be a HUGE PITA to open and close all the time, and nobody is gonna retrofit or change the config with all the work that would entail.
