I've seen the news about the snow the East coast was getting, (we now have the tail end of Jonas, but wet and 60mph winds) and we had a feature on BBC radio regarding how the heart attacks go up around this time because of shovelling the snow. Is that true, that its a legal responsibility you guys have to clear any snow outside your house, sidewalks etc?
In the valleys of Utah, you have 24 hours after a winter storm to clear your walkways otherwise face fines. Our valley house has to get cleared, and we have people do that for us when we aren't down there... it's a pain, but we have plenty of hardware to do it.
You have to move the snow from the walkways onto your own property in the valley (just means use the snowblower and shoot the snow into your lawn).
Our mountain house, they don't care what you do... they just don't want you making snow banks on the road if you don't plan on cleaning up the road.
