So, ever since last year when I spent a night in my boat at a rest stop waiting for the 3am sockeye salmon opener I have wanted some sort of a tent (not as cool or expensive as the tent @Julian had made for his former boat). This spring I found some 16'x16' waterproof backpacking shelter tarps, specifically: http://www.amazon.com/Kelty-4082021...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
I used suction cup hooks on the hull: http://www.amazon.com/Ook-Impex-Sys...sr=1-3-catcorr&keywords=suction+cup+hooks+5lb I got them at walmart for $1.67 per pair. I used them mostly as a test and will look for something a little more sturdy. Although they have held for 3 days now with some pretty good wind!
I use the bimini as the support to hold the tarps up and each tarp covers half of the boat with tarp to spare. It will be interesting to see how hard it is to set up on the water, but as of right now I'm pretty excited about spending a night or two in the boat anchored in a bay!
