Anyone else here get boating mag?

Did you read the April editorial?

Did you do research as to whether or not your Yammie was a vacumn bagged, or hand laid laminate?

I went nuts looking for info on our hull manufacturing process, then I decided to go to the link in the magazine www.boatingmag.com/compolysis. . . . .

It has ALL the info you need to know on compolysis and your boats likelihood of being affected.

Man that is scary!

Do our Yamaha's have compolysis?

Damn! Totally got me!!

Wow!! I'm soooo glad I saw that article...I will definitely sleep better tonight!!

Yep I read that yesterday too in Boating.. F'd up in the boating world.

I'll have to check mine out tomorrow. Thanks for posting.

This is just all TOO PHUNNY !!!!!!
It ranks right up there with Global Warming and Cirrhosis of the Liver !!!!!!!!!
Y'all play nicely now out there in yer sandboxes ...... LOL ! - Mikey Lulejian - Out here on Little Paradise, known as Lake Oconee, GA

So are yamaha boats likely affected? If so what years? Don't leave us hanging :) Can't get the video at work, it's blocked.

Warning !
This is a very dangerous situation every boat owner should be concerned with.
I am only posting this as my Special Service to all of my fellow Yammie owners.

Only if you believe everything you read on the internet (or in this case in a Magazine)

So... Does that mean yes they say we are affected?

Yes, we are all in grave danger as outlined here. . . . . : www.boatingmag.com/compolysis

Get to somewhere that will allow you to view the link for all the details as they vary by model.

If this has any truth to it. It would affect any and every fiberglass boat ever made. You would think that it would be common knowledge be now or at least a reported study or studies all over the internet. The only link to it I found was on the BoatingMag.. I have not seen any thin hull failures in my life. Wrecks..yes boat bubbling bottoms..yes. hollowed out..nope. weird theory.

While I too agree that it is strange that these scientifically proven theories should have been caught before, I am just glad Boating Magazine is bringing awareness to the subject now. (for all of our sakes)

Me too !!!!! Thank goodness !

Is this something we should take to Yamaha...this may turn into a class action lawsuit before we know it. Really something to think about.

Absolutely. . . . .I am sure there are a few lawyers that would LOVE this case.

Wouldn't the same thing happen to surf boards?
I'm much more worried about Ethanol additives in my fuel.
