Do you ever take your pets on the boat with you? We have Shelties and I really want to take them out on the boat but I'm not sure they would like it.

Lets see your pets on your boats!

I can't wait to see this thread take off. I used to take my dog on my jet ski. He loved it! Put him in front of me, and he perched up and watched forward. I had his life jacket tethered to mine with 3 feet rope in case we bailed. Once at the island, he jumped off, and ran and splashed, just had the best time. He doesn't like the salt water splashing in his eyes (no one does), but other than that, it was always a great time., , Can't wait to get my FSH and get him out there again!

There were some great pictures on that link.

Haha, yeah pretty cool.

Always good to have fresh threads and pic's

Our Sheltie loves the boat, swimming, and the freedom to explore islands without a leash. When we are anchored, she knows how to find spots on the boat so she gets the right mixture of sun and shade. If the back of the boat is shaded, she will lay on the swim deck and hang her head off almost to the water and nap for two hours. Shelties are loud on the boat. When we pull into a cove, she has to let everyone and everything know we are there. If fishermen get within 200 feet, she barks until they leave. In this picture from Saturday, she decided she was going to bring the anchor in for us. IMG_1012.JPG

That's awesome! I've seen both types of Shelties. Some swim and others don't go in the water. We have the latter I guess. I am going to try to get them to go with us though. We have a pool too and they don't like it either. So far.

He hasn't been out yet, but we just got him a life vest last night, for our camping trip Memorial Day weekend. We also have an English Bulldog

This is my favorite picture in the whole wide world.

Oh yeah, he can swim :) (his sister that's a bull dog not so much). He doesn't need a life jacket, it'll just be easier and more fun for him to swim around without getting tired. Just like I didn't need a jet boat, but it sure makes my summer more fun [flag]

My dog sinks like a stone... those little legs paddle and paddle, but he's a little top heavy. Lol

Here he is with the wife last winter.

Plus the vest has a handle to lift them onto the swim deck if needed.
