My little guys idea of swimming is laying in the dog ramp. Here he is trying to get comfortable while my golden retriever is off in the distance swimming back to the boat. The golden will go all day, no matter how tired he gets.

Dog ramp is cool. At this point, I'm lowering the boat off lift and my pup swims around to platform and I pull him up into boat. It works but will probably scratch up boat eventually. And yeah, my golden can swim all day and he's young so gets rid of all that energy!

I know it is pricey. very pricey. I think I got ours last year for right around 300 or maybe 320. We had a metal one that attached to the ladder with straps, and it was around 100. We could not get it to work right. always loose. dogs couldn't see it and it tied up the ladder from people using. we saw someone else with one of the on the water ramps at a sandbar and the dog was just going up it like nothing all day long. so, even though it was 300 + we justified it by returning the $ 100 one, so it really only cost us $ 200 + But, for the amount we use it, it is a god send. little bulkier than I would like when not using it, but when it is in use, it is the best.

@djetok are the nails painted blue or are those some kind of soft caps? I'd love to take my boxer/pit mix but he's getting kind of old and his hips bother him sometime. I'd also fear for his big claws to rip my vinyl to shreds. I want to take him out with us though before it's too late but I'll need to get a life jacket for him. He can't swim all that great and sinks like a rock lol.

We have an Old English Sheepdog that loves our Yamaha 242 Limited S E-Series He loves to tube and ride our jet ski too. One of the reasons we own our boat is because he and his little brother can get in and out of the boat with no trouble.
