CARB vs. Non-CARB Side by Side Test

Agreed, that will be the first thing I look at when I get there.

So after picking up my boat last weekend, I can confirm that it is a non-CARB boat eventhough the Model Number is: SAT1800F-RBG. The dealer said it is now the "dash" which makes that determination, but I am not so sure. Long story short, the best way to check is to physically look at the engines and also the emissions control label found inside the engine compartment as others have mentioned.

Reviving this old thread because I think my question fits right in. This 2015 AR240 listing has this model # listed as SAT180C-P, which would indicate a non-CARB boat, but the engine clearly has the "super ultra low emission" 4 star tag on what I believe is the catalytic converters. Any guess as to what's going on here?

The carb (California air resources board) boats will have catalytic converters so won’t put out as much power as a non carb boat. If you still can’t tell look at the power output plaque on the engine. This attached pic is of the plaque of A 2010 non carb motor with 132 kw power output which is about 177 hp that many round to 180. The carb motors are around 10% less powerful. image.jpgIMG_6779.png
