Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
This is the type our next boat will be... but we have sometime yet before the tubbing years are over... congrats on the buy... if u go on the june trip i got dibs with @Speedling for a tour!
10k trailer? O put that on the bed of my truck weekly... oh wit thats the gc 6500 with cat diesel. 26000 plates and i refuse to go bigger. Got a cdl-c or chauffeur liscense and i don't need to mess with anything more. I honestly want to ditch my f150 but until the kid grow some andwe know what type of boating we will be most interested in the expedition and f150 do great.
Once my wife walks on a big boat, that may all change
@tim h I had a similar size and weight boat with the 8.1l engine and in good water I got around 1.5 mpg but offshore even in ok conditions it was reduced to 1 mpg or less. We had a 110 gallon tank and we would go fishing about 15 miles offshore with a little trolling involved and we almost always would burn about 80-90 gallons in that day. I know @Amar Nanduri was talking about Exuma next year he would likely need to carry around 40-50 extra gallons on that trip just to be on the safe side. @Amar Nanduri I love the boat though man looks great!
I would hate to think what my twin 454's would burn on a trip to Bimini if I chose to have it shipped to Ft. Lauderdale. Actually, come to think of it, the cost to have it shipped to FL would be more then the cost of the fuel burned in the boat during the entire time it's in the water. Unless there's dependable and clean shore power available I'd run the generator the whole time to keep the a/c's running so we'd skip the hotels and stay on the boat. Can you tell I've thought about it briefly? Lol
