Cheap gps unit

Me and my wife just purchased a New 2016 Glastron GT207 yesterday. We can't wait to go on the test drive and final inspection before closing later this week. We plan on taking it out to many different lakes. I'm not the most experienced on the lakes and know I can get turned around easily. I have been looking at gps units online and I'm not sure which to go with. I would like the fish / gps combo as we will be doing some fishing here and there. I don't have a huge budget like $200-$400. Any suggestions?

I use navionics on an iPhone. Just hit start at the dock and it'll track you all the way. Just head back towards the start point.

I just looked on eBay and I see plenty of smaller fish finders available in your price range. Many are new or refurbished. Just read the specs to be sure you are getting the display and sounder.

$10 on Navionics for your phone is a great place to get started. I was happy with a suction cup mount and $50 of Navionics on a tablet for a year. After that I would consider a Dragonfly 4 as an inexpensive plotter.
