Considering buying 2014 SX240, compression question

Hello all,

First post! I'm considering buying a used 2014 SX240.

I did a search but didn't find a conclusive answer.

The dealer is going to do a compression test and I want to know what numbers to look for.

I don’t have the exact figures for that engine top of mind; but you will want to be mindful of any significant differences in the numbers. If they do it “dry” you are permitted to run the engines and retake the readings “wet”. Figures can sometimes improve greatly once there is a thin film of oil and you confirm rings were not just coincidentally aligned. I cylinder 3 is typically the biggest troublemaker.

About 180 and make sure all the numbers are close. The lowest you’ll want to see is about 165
