Corona and Bimini trip

Planning a post 4th of july trip for 2021. Cancelled other things that been getting in the way anyways. Hopefully still cheap fuel and lodging!

Things have gotten worse there it appears they are about go on a two week lock down in Bimini with no one allowed to leave or enter the island.

How has the Corona virus affected your plans for a Bimini trip ? I have not been on the forum for a couple of months due to a house move and work travels. ? My wife is telling me to put off the trip for 2020 due to the crazy situation outside.

cheers
Amar
A homeowner recently told me he received a email from the ministry saying they would be open end of may, we booked july 12-19 bimini sands great pricing right now

Thanks

Miami ish area to Bimini, the closest island in the Bahamas to Florida. About a 45 mile trip in open water. People on here cross in their boats, and vacation on the island. If you browse the other threads people plan trips and go in groups, as their is much is much better safety in numbers, especially with these relatively smaller boats (compared to 40-50 foot purpose built offshore boats)

It is important to note that Americans entering the Bahamas must quarantine for 14 days upon entering. That makes the trip impractical this year.

I’d be interested in going in maybe 2021 or 2022.
