Yea they hit something with that or pulled the boat with something stuck there. TBH, in the white gelcoat once repaired you will not even notice. I am ok at gel coat repair and I patched one bigger for another member last fall whom lives in the area in the white and after we finished sanding and buffing you couldn't tell it was there.
I didnt even get a tank of gas or a detailing. Filled it up on my way home. My dealer might have actually told me that I already got a great deal because they forgot about the damage on the boat and the cost to fix it before they listed the price.
Sadly, customer service doesnt mean diddly right now to many companies. They have it, you want it. They figure they have you right where they want you because there are not a ton of Yamaha dealers in close proximity. Its not like a string of Chevy dealers on the same strip of road.
To me depends on how the situation unfolded. Did you drive several hours to the dealership to pick-up your boat, only at that time discover the damage or is the dealership a 5 minute drive from your house? If this truly costed you time and money the dealership should make it right, if this is a minor inconvenience I'd let it go.

So you have an expectation of what you want to happen. You haven't said what this might be, only the ephemeral "they should do something". What do you want to happen, so we can go from there. Lacking that, you will get comments like those - have your concerns about the repair being noticeable been assuaged?

Got boat back looks good and just got guarantee on the work done and boat delivered to use. The dealership could have better communication with the customer. Thanks for the responses.
