Yeah...the reverse move doesn't work on wood...only on grasses and some weeds. (it doesn't work at band camp either!) lol You crack me up @Glassman
I don't find the heavy vibration with weeds and grass that I do from a tiny piece of driftwood stuck in the pump either. Somehow, with grass and weeds, the pump chews up most of what gets into it, then the extra that is blocking the intake grate disturbs the flow of water and it cavitates bad. So the rpm is off the chart and the hook up is non existent...followed by an overheat! But that damn tiny piece of wood is a royal PIA, because you can't find it easy! Probably Michelle has been messing with your boat, and when she stuck a flute in your pump...the reed got stuck in it!
