Did Yamaha make Trim Tabs for the 250 Series After all...???

@CastawayRK Thanks for sharing your experience.

Do you have/use the swim up seats? Just wondering if one would try to sit facing the swim platform if the tabs are in the way.

I do not but I would say that shouldn’t be an issue

In this picture, are the tabs all the way up? It looks like they are up and if so the tabs are still digging into the water at this angle. I'm looking for trim tabs and looking to see if there are any options where the tabs are still up around an inch from the edge of the transom at the full up or out of the water position. Any advice would be awesome. Was looking into Bennet, Lectratab, Lenco etc.

Yes they are all the way up and I don’t think there’s any way to install these so they are angled above the hull. If you put a straight edge on the hull it will lay flat against the tab. I guess it’s just the way it looks in the picture, but they don’t stick down
This is how Bennett said to install them. On my boat there is not enough vertical space to do what you want.
I’m not sure, but if they were angled up they might catch some water and actually push the stern down.

Sure

I contacted Lectrotab and they recommend the 9x12. I have the 252xe. I have no idea of the difference except the size. Had you put any thought to this?

Read on in the thread. I corrected that. Mine are 9x12 and those are the part numbers for 9x12.
Yes I would absolutely recommend adding them.
I understand (but don’t know for certain) your boat is longer but we have same beam and transoms are similar if not the same.

Ok, thank you I clearly missed that -- my boat is 24'6". Was there any reason you chose Bennet vs Lectrotab by chance?

Not really. Yamaha owns Bennet and the HQ is in metro ATL. The guys there were willing to test fit them on a boat they had. I understand Lectrotab is fine too based on forum feedback
