@Big Shasta , I feel for you (1 in college now; 2 more to come).

But you made the right decision. Need to take care of the family in the best way you can. Absolutely.

Hope you will be sticking around here, tho!

Oh yeah, This is a staple for me. I gotta keep up with all these jackwagons and what's going on.

I guess I'm off the charts! 270hrs in 2yrs 3mo. which is right at 120hrs/yr. Bought it new 3/2013. Will have well over 300 by the end of the summer. I love being on the water and living in florida definitely feeds my addiction. I live Right next to the St. John's river and trailer to different destinations in the state at least a few times a year for vaca sooooo.....that doesn't help the hours situation. Oh well, what am I gonna do...not use it?!?! :)

What is realistic life of the Yamaha engines? Can we run them 1000 hours?

I've read that it is not uncommon for the older MR1 engines in Waverunner rental fleets to get 2,000+ hours with some claims of 3,000. Don't know about the newer engines. There is the random catastrophic engine failure reported with low hours though...that seems to be luck of the draw and fairly uncommon.

We put on 200 hours in 3 seasons. 61 hrs/yr here.

16.4 when I bought it back in March. 44.8 when I checked yesterday.
