Hello,
I am from Germany and my biggest Problem is that here is no dealer who can help me out.
After Winter I Start up my engines. Starbord Motor starts perfect, the other one also but the engine light keeps on and does not go off.
It is not flashing just keeps on. I cant find anything in the menuel or in the internet.
Does anybody knows what the problem is?
Many Thanks for your help
Marc

Thanks, I already ordered one. But I have to wait a long time until it arrives. I sougt maybe someone knows what is wrong with it..

Can you tell me where to plug the cable from the YDS in?

Having a service manual for your year and model is also necessary. There is an access cover in the engine bay on the starboard side.

Ok, I only have a owners menuel. Do you know where to get it?

Which light is it?

The left one. The Red one with the engine on it.

I am not sure. Take advantage of this site and start searching " check engine light. "
That will help you since you are the closest one to the problem.

I will try... I hope the YDS will come soon...
Thank you.

should be all the info you need. As said above, starboard wall of engine bay is a round access cover on the 23' boats. The plugs for both engines are behind the round cover. Although on 21' boats I think they are somewhere else. Back (aft) wall of engine bay? Hopefully someone with that knowledge will chime in. found this... https://jetboaters.net/threads/yamaha-yds-software-connector.21949/#post-373076

As far as service manual...All I have is for the 23' boats. Adobe Acrobat

Today I found time to take a look.
I can't find the plug for the YDS.
Can someone send me a picture?
That will be great.
?

Male version of this. Mine is located behind a circular access panel on starboard side wall of engine bay. It is capped off. You need to remove the cap to plug in this connector.

An other funny thing..
Now the driver side engine makes the Engine light on and the other one not. The error swithched from one engine to the other. ??
It must be a electric problem.
I think I have to wait for the YDS. ?

That means your check engine.

What side is the driver side, left or right, Port or Starboard?

Here is a picture of the panel behind which are the connectors for the YDS. Sign in - Google Accounts

Maybe it is on the port side. It is different in the US. Everything seems to be reversed. Let me know if you can open the doc.

You sit on left side. Us is on right side, so your YDS hook up will probably be on left side or port side. However, maybe something is reversed in your boat.

Hi,
I can't open the link.
My boat comes from US. So everything is same. The driver side is right (starbord), the passengerside is left (portside).

This is the circular cover to give access to connecters.
