First and foremost, awesome lake. Maybe we just got lucky, but spent the whole weekend out there and it was just perfect. Minimal traffic, tons of room to play. Too many launches, none of which were ever busy. Water smooth as glass. Loved every minute of it.

But, what the hell are they putting in the water there?!? I counted 7 242 limiteds today. 7. (2 cruising, 5 parked at the marina). Also an SX210 I believe. A seadoo X20. A spitting image of my 180SE seadoo. And an AR190. Jet boats everywhere! Anyone on here?

@veedubtek I was out there BRIEFLY today, drove the boat from its lift at the marina to the ramp to pull her out....so I can tow her to Shelbyville next weekend!

I love Falls Lake....and with the iffy weather this weekend it was indeed dead!

I will be at Falls Lake tomorrow most likely...if not there Kerr Lake. If anyone is out and about...pull me over and say hi!

I would be, but don't have my supercharger back yet...maybe next weekend.

Not this weekend. We all took off to the mountains. We'll be on Fontana Lake all weekend. Hope it's as nice as it looks!

Wow .... Falls Lake was dead this morning! I think it must have been the start of College Football season that did it. Need to mark this weekend on my calendar for next year! Was on the water at 11:30 and it was flat calm....so I slalom skied right off the bat! Don't normally do that on a Saturday at noon!

Might of been the alligator

Went for a hike around Falls Lake today and saw TWO Yamaha's on the water. One that looked to be a black AR 210 fishing on the Honeycutt branch, and another LS240 that went cruising by the 210 fishing.

Also saw the first wet suited wake boarders of the season! Air is 71, but the water is probably 50....maybe colder!

Water on Belews today was 50 in spots, all the way up to 68 in others. Saw 2 jetskis, 1 stand up paddle board thing, and a few kayaks. Beautiful day. Can't wait to hit Falls again...

Hey Guys, quick question…. any gators in NC lakes? Reason I'm asking is that we're looking at relocating in the near future and wondering how far south we can go before encountering gators and other things that may eat the kids if we put them in the water. Thanks :)

No gators in NC lakes. South Caroline is as far north they can survive the cold....and only by the warm coast at that.

Although a gator was seen in Falls lake last summer...it was a baby that someone released. It was caught and shipped south! :-)

That's good to know @Julian . I remember reading when someone saw it. Never did hear what happened afterwards. Very relieved, hah!

Don't know about lakes, but plenty of gators here near the rivers.

Interesting....I was told that SC was as far north as they came, but when you think about it, the southern most part of NC is south of the northern most part of SC.....although Fayetteville is more or less on the line between the two....

There have been a few gators spotted in Lake Wylie but I have never seen one. Copperheads can easily be found though. Shoot we have a boat launch and park called Copperhead Island lol.

that's a bit scary… Sooo.. the folks that live in these areas boat there at their own risk? lol
