Who says they don't?

Hey we are just above freezing here. No ice. I pick up the new boat on Friday and hoping it stays like this so I can get out. Little warmer would be nice but I don't mind the cold. I have a heated indoor facility for the boat so not worried about temps dropping below freezing at night. Can't wait to get up to Barrie this year to Kempenfelt Bay.

@MazzyDan Congrats on the new boat! Kempenfelt Bay is still frozen solid. Hopefully it will open up in the next couple of weeks.

Well, we probably still have 3 feet of ice up here in northern Alberta. The ice generally doesnt leave until mid may. Dont really start water sports until end of June. Hopefully this year will be earlier as the outside temps are fairly warm and most of the snow is gone.

Chilly pilot, thanks for the update. I crossed the Ambassador Bridge from Detroit into Windsor yesterday and saw a good dozen boats already in the Detroit River. I can't wait. If it's nice this weekend I'm heading out.

@MazzyDan Post your score if you go IN the water....water temp + air temp

Well last weekend was not so nice so I didn't get out. Went to pick up boat Friday but wasn't ready. Someone forgot to clean up the mess from the upgrades. Dealer came through and finished it and delivered it to me. Water temp 50 air 33 score of 83. This weekend suppose to be below zero but Monday suppose to be 12c or 54f. If not raining I might be tempted to go out.

@MazzyDan Yikes...I will gladly hand over the winner's trophy! Supposed to be 82 here today and the water is getting bearable quickly

Well so much for going out this weekend. I woke up to this. Maybe Monday. It is suppose to start warming up and snow will be gone by tomorrow.

Lake erie is ice free... fishing season is on.

Me and my boat? ... still too cold for that adventure.

@MazzyDan @4x15mph Man....and I was complaining the temps are dropping to low 70's after a few days of mid 80's. We get lots of rain in the winter but snow is rare in the willamette valley.
