Hello all! Thinking hard about getting a jetboat but currently in the research stage. Not in a hurry and really appreciate all the information available here! Thanks in advance!

Christopher

Welcome aboard! They're great boats. I did my research for over a year and after spendin time on my fiends boats it helped me decide what would work for my boating needs. Have fun in your reseach and enjoy the water when you pull the trigger. Safe boating to you!

Welcome!

Start posting some questions/requirements and you will get answers here, it's a really active forum with very knowledgeable users to jet boats as well as other types. Good luck with you search!

There are many reasons to get a jetboat. My number 1 reason for a jetboat is SAFETY. Had a few prop boats, but after my brother got 11 stitches from it (wasn't running thank goodness), I was ready to move on. Never been happier!
Good luck with your search.

@@JetSet407 Welcome !! Let us help you spend some money!!

@JetSet407 Welcome. I purchased my Yamaha this past September and couldn't be happier. One of the main reasons I went with a Yamaha was the safety issue, having a 4 and 6 yo it was a no brainer. The 2nd reason was due to the low maintenance compared to traditional stern drive boats.

Thank you!
@lddv1224 Good to know. @zarrell lol!

@JetSet407, @Zarrella was only kidding a little... We have all kinds of ways to spend other people's money... Just wait till you start flipping through some of the threads you will be like "Damn I need that" and that, and that, and wow that's really cool I need that too!!! LOL....:D:D

Welcome to the party @JetSet407 !! Everything you ever wanted to know about these boats, or others, you'll find here.

Welcome to the forum...

I just spent a week in Florida with family running the Indian River. Jet boat is perfect for the varying depths down there...

Welcome @JetSet407 and I hope you don't take as much time as me to pull the trigger. I didn't have the time to use one given my shorter season and the age of my kids (can you say SPORTS). It looks like you are in Orlando and you need a boat. A Yamaha is a perfect option for the <25 footer class.

Good luck and ask a lot of questions. The used boats in this forum are always a great option as @JC6275 mentioned and they usually have the upgrades that we will otherwise spend your money on.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the forum. It is a great group of members from all over (many near you), with a wealth of knowledge about these boats. Jetboaters.net has evolved to be the best source of info and best of all, it is free, and it will become your "go to" place for finding support, help, and ideas. And one other thing, that you won't come to find out until you have been an owner for a little while, is that here, you get to experience the fun and excitement of the search and finding the perfect jet boat all the time through the posts of others! So when you start searching, post up your search in pictures and share your journey with us! Welcome aboard once again...and we stand by to congratulate you and your family on their purchase!
