The wife and i are empty nesters, and seems like coming up with anything new is a pain. We live 12 miles outside a town of 3600 or so and not many places to eat, Mc donalds taco bell brams and a couple of mexican food places. Just cuioris about the pricing and is the food any good.

Funny you ask. I just canceled our Hello Fresh service, which is similar to Blue Apron, today. We actually liked the service, and the food was great, but we were misled on the pricing. We were under assumption it was $9.99 per meal, 3 meals per week, so $29.97 per week. Not bad for 3 full meals with all ingredients. Well the catch was that $9.99 per meal price was per person. We did the 2 person option for my wife, 2 year old son, and I. Fast forward a month later and I look at our credit card statement today. They were billing us $59.94 a week. I called them up and told them they made a mistake, and were double charging us. Well that's when they explained the $9.99 per meal is per person. Two people = two meals! I canceled right away. Can't see paying $240 a month for the service. Not sure if Blue Apron is similar, but my wife looked in to them also before deciding on Hello Fresh.

I just checked and blue apron is same price. They are upfront about their pricing though. HelloFresh didn't list out the per serving part

we tried it for a few weeks and cancelled as well... There were times we couldn't even get to the meals and had to through them away...

thanks guys im with you @MattFX4 if it was 10 bucks and fed 2 ppl that is not bad at all for a meal. But we definetly eat for less than 20 bucks at home. So with that i not gonna do anymore investagating. sorry my spelling sux

We did hello fresh for a little while. Food was good but too expensive for having to cook yourself. We can eat out for the same money. We do have a few more choices than you.

We did the Blue Apron for a while. It's just my wife and I. It was pretty good, but I didn't really like the menu choices. My wife loved the variety. We switch to Home Chef. It's very similar, but we like the menu options a lot more. We've been doing two or three meals a week for a while now, but we skip a week or two here and there. It's very easy to skip, if you remember. It is kinda pricey, but we enjoy making the meals together and it provides new recipes and entrees than we would make on our own.
