Help needed, engine won't start.

You'd only have fuel spitting out if it was flooded. So it's good that its not spraying fuel.

Put the new plugs and do your normal cold start routine.

If it doesnt run check and see if the plugs are wet or dry.

If dry you can put a little fuel in one or two cylinders and try again. I'd makeup a gallon of pre mix and use that. Starter fluid can wash the oil off the cylinder walls.... Small amounts may be ok but be careful putting too much down the hole.
 
Beachbummer where would you suggest I go next then? Dismantle the carb rack and go through them carefully also check all the fuel lines? What are your thoughts?
 
The MfM when I took out the plugs they were a tiny bit wet, and looking very similar with the plugs I took out of the good engine. Perhaps the fuel pump may be an issue? Just a thought. There is a very small Facet low psi fuel pump installed by the previous owner to help out with could starts, I think it's a fuel/air separator.
 
I would try what @the MfM suggested. Absolutely confirm if it's fuel or spark before moving to the next step.
 
I took the day off from the boat work, raining today and likely tomorrow, I'll get back early next week with any progress or lack of. Also If anyone has any ideas they think could help I'm happy to hear it. Thanks and everyone have a good weekend! Tom
 
Alrighty, engine still isn't starting. I'm going to go ahead and tackle the Reed valves now. I'll post my findings.
 
Before you go that way, are there any indications of that being the problem? Fuel, Spark and Compression it should start. One must be missing.
 
Beachbummer I just read your reply. Of course I now am looking at perfectly fine Reed valves and the pedals are in excellent condition.

This... plus the engine stalling at 30mph could be a sign that it was starting to seize. I’d double check your compression readings and use your gauge on the running engine to compare the readings. It’s not uncommon for the cheaper gauges to be wrong.
 
I'm off the purchase a more expensive compression tester. I'll load my results in an hour. Thanks

Seized or low compression?
 
On all three cylinders?
 
1 cylinder only.
Maybe caught a ring or had a carb plug up. I’m surprised it won’t fire on two cylinders.

You going to rebuild you yourself or go with SBT?
 
I would suggest a tear down to examine what is visible. Might just need piston, rings and a little cleaning of the cylinder. sometimes you can buff out any scratches. (Only half kidding, depending on the risk you want to take)

Right now I'm on the fence as far as what I'm going to do with the boat. It's my first boat and I purchased it just a month ago. I'm not a mechanic by any means, but I do enjoy tinkering around so we'll see.
