hours on your 1.8l's

Anything special you did to get it this far? I have on a FSH 210 wondering if there is anything I should do extra maintenance wise to keep her going that long.

How many hours do you have currently?

Use good oil and filters (I use amsoil both oil and filters) and change every 100 hours, be sure and check the valve clearances every 200 hours, if you run ethanol laced gasoline be sure and run star tron fuel additive.

sorry I thought I added that currently have 480 hours.

225ish currently on my 2020. Change plugs every season and use only the Yamaha oil kit.

Right on… have you been checking the valve lash? These engines cruise at pretty high rpm and that can cause a lot of valve seat wear, so it’s good to keep an eye on those clearances and not let them get tight and burn a valve. Most of my hours are at idle or a little above that trolling, but I still keep an eye on valve lash.
