Hydroslide 180 or Edge Jr Beginner Wakeboards

Does anyone have any experience with either the Hydroslide 180 or Edge Jr?

I am looking for a starter wakeboard for my 2 girls (ages 10&8) and found a great price on these. They are both 122cm and within $15 of each other.

Questions...
1 - Would they be able to get away with using one of these for next year and then we can upgrade this time next year for 2016 or will they grow out of these middle of next season? Neither have ever wakeboarded before, so they are true beginners.

2 - Could they learn on a bigger board now in which case we might not need to upgrade for at least 2 seasons? If so, any recommendations on boards?

I started my son on a Hydroslide and he rode it for three years (age 7-10), until he had the basics down and was starting to learn tricks. They are good for beginners with the big fin in the middle for stability.

The bigger board will be harder to manage, but would work.

We have a hydroslide 180, my then 8 year old daughter learned on it. I say more than the size of the board is the size of the bindings, she had small feet and they barely stayed in the binding but she managed for just riding around and doing 180's, she now 10 and just growing into,

Great. Thanks for the feedback @robbo3 and @Scottintexas It sounds like the smaller board will last at least for the 1st year before an upgrade. So based on the price I don't think I can beat it.

Just food for thought - sometimes you can get great deals on leftover board/binding combos either online or at boat shows. I picked up a CWB Bella 124 with bindings for $100 for my then 9 year old daughter. She's 11 now and still riding it and it is big enough that she can probably ride it for another 2 years.

Thanks. I held off on getting the hydroslide this weekend. I have seen the CWB boards pretty cheap but not that low. Wish I had. Just looked this morning and found the board (2012) for $120 but then adding bindings is another $75 to $150. I might just wait and see if the prices come down some. No rush. I have looked at the CWB boards in the past and glad to hear the kids will get some use out of them.
