iPad HELP!!!! How to transfer video from Ipad to PC?????

Nope....it showed up as a device, but with nothing accessible in it.
Weird, that's how I take all my photos and videos off.

Those drives do seem overpriced, but if you have an iPhone, seems that is the price you have to pay for that freedom. Maybe a reason not to have iproducts. I'm going to get one. If you look at it as a storage device, you will buy a big one at over $240. If you look at it as a transfer device, you can get a smaller one for less than $100. And it will still move a good amount of files.

Hope it works out for you Julian. We anxiously await a successful conclusion to your dilemma. For those in the stands observing the gurus discuss the solution, what does this tell you? Stay away from Apple and their proprietary, overpriced crap that can't perform a basic task. It is so nice to be able to make this mistake, then simply stick a $5 flash drive into a USB port, and reverse the process.....but then we wouldn't have anything to discuss but boats!

Julian, where exactly is the video showing up on the iPad; which app?

I said to my wife last night... "I'm very glad I got this iPad free from work, otherwise I'd be seriously pissed about this"

That said, I was able to move the video with Dropbox!

This should work. Usually when I hook the pad to a Microsoft machine, a window pops up asking what to do and you choose the load file/photo option.

I'm guessing that you have the videos sitting in the Photos app on the iPad, correct? If so, just connect the iPad to your PC using the sync cable. It will show up as a lettered drive. Drag the video file out from there.

I have an iPad Mini Retina 16 GB (May 2014 vintage), I used this technique a couple days ago to move a 1 gig+ video file to a PC, with zero drama or problems.
I am running iOS 7.1.2. -- call me risk-averse, but I am still waiting to update to ver 8.x.

Sounds like you may be beyond the issue, but thought above might be a good benchmark if you are not.
