iPhone 13 Bluetooth issue with Clarion

Anyone else having issues with a new iPhone 13 connecting with the Clarion? I have a 2014 Yamaha 242LS and my iPhone XR would discover and pair without issue. Tried to pair the 13 and it won’t discover the head unit. Same with my wife 13 also.

I think newer versions of B/T are causing issues. My wife's new phone is having trouble functioning fully with her Plantronics headset. She loves the headset which is several years old now so new B/T protocols are probably causing issues. She can connect, pair, and talk just fine, but the voice command to answer incoming calls doesn't work. I have a new phone too and expected some issues with the Fusion stereo playing tunes on the boat, but luckily so far it plays just fine - it does take longer to connect than my old phone but tunes play.

That could be very true, my iPhone 12 in my truck is not recognizing Siri commands on the first try. It always takes two times with anything inside of Carplay

What version of IOS? I have seen some funky things out of my 11 since updating to 14.8.

May not help...we use Samsung phones here and she's having trouble with voice commands.

It is the problem with the protocols and backward handshaking compatibility. We have been seeing it a lot as we roll out a multitude of phones yearly for our clients both Apple and Samsung. Blue Tooth speakers such as Nyne Bass are having a lot of connections issues as well.
