The way waivers usually work is lets say that your waiver number is 3 and mine is 4. You want to pick up a player that someone else has dropped. That player now goes on waivers and as long as someone with a lower waiver doesn't want that player then you would get them before I would since your number is lower. Trades are just that. You have someone that someone wants or vise-versa. If you can make a deal than you can make a trade. Some times, depending on leagues rules, the commish and/or the league can say no if they feel a trade gives a team more of an advantage over the rest. But that usually just happens in the cash leagues which are a little more competitive. The NFL site does a nice job by placing a date behind the players that weren't selected. These dates represent when those players will be available to add to your team. Your waiver number will come in play here if there is more than one player wanting the player your looking at. Some players will have a FA behind their name and those can be picked up right away. Or at least that is the way it used to be.
 
Ill play. I just skipped to the end to see if there was space available so let me know if I need to do anything else. I have used several free sites and the best was espn but yahoo has also improved their app recently which makes it easy to set your lineup from your phone. (They all have apps now though)

My favorite things in this world are family, friends, boats, and football. #1 is family after that What order I put them in ...depends on the day of the week...:)

Lol...thanks mike. I was hoping nobody would be offended but figured it was all guys. Then I saw the teams and realized there is a Cheryl...if I have offend you Cheryl I am sorry. If I have not offended you then I am preappologizing for when I do :D

I know this is for the forum members and I want to keep it that way but if we get close to draft day and we still have openings I have a neighborhood buddy looking to join a league. Only offering in case we are short. I have been in leagues of 8 but all the teams are stacked and very little movement in lineups. Leagues of 10 aren't bad but 12 is the best if we can get there.
 
@ScarabMike ... not saying that all players aren't welcome but just in case we don't get enough 1) Can you alter the number of teams before the draft or 2) should a couple of us take on another team to make up the 12 needed?

I can alter the amount of teams. Right now we have 8 teams. Ill give it till tomorrow, and Ill close the entries, and adjust the teams.

@Bacchus_fl Since this is the first time we have done this, I rather keep it just for us in the community.

Yea, but there is an issue. NFL.com will not let me change the amount of teams. I actually have to restart the league and make it 8 teams. It will not let the draft start until all positions have been filled.
 
@ScarabMike , if @Julian will take my spot, I will not play, I really don't have time for it. So if you are going to reset it to 8 teams I will bow out.
 
I'm TOTALLY ok with not participating....seriously....I tossed my name in just in case you needed cannon fodder and someone to reach a certain # of teams.....
 
Well, this started out like a good idea and I'm good if it doesn't work out.
