Just got a 2016 242X e series boat. Intermediate bearing was bad and wear rings and impellers shot. Put new bearing, wear rings and impellers. "Only changed Port intermediate bearing". Jet pump parts and bottom intake parts have some good corrosion but look good enough to run. I did buy new intake screens for both sides. Engines are running pretty good but when I get to about 3500-4000 RPM the port side looses propulsion. Does this sound like cavitation or could the one bucket be going into neutral for some reason? The impellers are clear. I am planning to run both engines on land tomorrow and see if the buckets act like they should. If that is good I plan to take it to the water and switch the cleanout plugs to see if the port one is leaking air into the intake area at the higher RPM's. Does this sound logical or is there something I am overlooking???
