Again, being new to the forum. I was wondering if there might be any interest in getting together with some
of the other fellow jet boaters on Lanier? This would be a central point if someone from Hartwell to Allatoona
wanted to come and join in? I thought it would be a good idea to get to know other common-vessel people and
possibly make this a reoccurring event once or maybe twice a year?
It is just an idea and I don't know if I could be the one to organize being that I have only been boating on
Lanier for 3 months now (lived here for 7). I know my way around pretty well to the 4-5 major spots but have
not discovered all off the nooks and secret hangouts.

Any input on this would be great!

thanks

I see your post for a Lake Lanier meetup was last year, did you meet many jetboaters in the area? I'm new to the forum and I see there are a few newbies here in our area.

Mike, I never got any interest, but there are plenty of jetboats in the area. Most of which are Yamaha boats but expect to see more Scarabs this year. I'm only on Lanier but I see you are in Marietta? Would you prefer Lanier although you are closer to Alatoona? It would be great to meet up on a regular basis this summer. Maybe we could drum up a few more jetboaters....

I see you have a VR... I would love to see it and maybe take a dig on it...?

Lanier is a much better option I'm sure. It would be good to get a group together in the area.

Once I get it past the break in period it'll be good to go.

I would be interested to meet up this summer.

Great spaz1868 looks like Rodney Findley just became the Lake Lanier meeting coordinator. :shamefullyembarrased:

Keep us informed. We would be interested.
Picking up our 242x from Park Marine in Kennesaw this Saturday!

Will do...there's a lot of new jetboaters in our area.
Congratulations on the new boat. That 242x is nice. Post pics when you can.

Great to see the interest. I am going to try and head down to the in water boat show
at Lanier islands this Saturday.. It will probably be my wife and 2-year old daughter with me. Flag me down if "a jet sees another jet". Right now the boat is all black. I am currently working on some graphic ideas...

OK, I will make it a point to get on here more and coordinate a meet for us... Probably under a new post...

Perhaps we could all meet up at Pelican Pete's for lunch in the next few weeks now that it looks like the weather is going to break..... Maybe mid-May?

What do y'all think???

Sounds good to me...thought we lost you Rodney.

No jetboats here on Lake Thurmond:( 70K+ acres of water and all bass boats! Keep this thread updated and maybe we can join in.

Hi Guys, I'm in Acworth and picking up a '15 242 limited s this Saturday. Will be boating mainly on Allatoona , but would like to check out Lanier a few times this summer. Keep us all updated on possible outings!

Just noticed @Rod5 is also picking up a 242x this Saturday. Just wanted to tag him to loop him in since he is in Marietta.

Nice, the local group is growing. I am expecting to see a lot of brand new jetboats on the local lakes this summer.

Athens, GA here. Mostly haul her up to Gainesville and drop in Lanier. I'm considering a slip for the summer.

Awesome were interested and excited to join in the fun!

Watching this. In a slip at Port Royale (Pelican Pete's). We don't venture down to the south end much...normally hang a left (north) and find quieter coves and beaches for wakeboarding and floating around with the kids and a couple other families.

I live across the street in Emerald Pointe.
I launch at Vanns Tavern...I eat my Buffalo chicken sandwich at Pelican Pete's!
