Lake Lanier, GA meet/raft up

Anyone going to the on water boat show tomorrow? My wife and I went last year specifically to drive a Yamaha, but had a great time. Thinking about going back just for fun.

I am planning on going not sure what time. Probably closer to the evening around 3-5? I plan on doing my yearly service on the boat and trying to go in it

Great to see there is a local jet boat community here. Alright let's plan...
Their out some ideas for meeting date/times/locations

I did not make it to Lanier Islands for the boat show today. I got caught up in a project and then my daughter was sick. Going to try and make it tomorrow, but going by car...

Weather was beautiful yesterday. Got my 242 out and loved it. Can't wait for next weekend! Question for you Marietta and Allatoona area guys. Where are you storing your boats? I have searched and searched for covered storage but not having much luck. Don't want to put it in a slip, or dry dock. I would like to keep it on trailer under some type of cover.

I have a friend in Marietta that just baught a boat, the only covered storage he could find was at Charleston Park Boat Storage. You might give them a call. Sounds like boat storage is at a premium there.

Thanks. Yeah, that is near Lake Lanier (hour and half away from me). I have found several in that area, but nothing near me. Maybe I need to invest in some land and indoor storage facilities for boats/campers.

Hey @MattFX4 I'm looking for the same thing, let me know if you come up with one. I've only seen slips, dry stack and outdoor.

Thanks @MattFX4 I was just up there this weekend. We put in at red top on Sat. I'll check them out.

Ah @Mike T, I was there too. I put in at Galt's Ferry and eventually made my way over to Red Top and back via the lake.

@MattFX4 Funny you mentioned Galt's Ferry I was trying to find my way over there but my GPS had not been setup and I didn't have a lake map. Wanted to try a little fishing by the sailboat marina.

@Mike T It was sail boat city out there Saturday. Sort of a cool site to see when they are all out like that.

Just scanned through this thread, but didn't see if there a date/place scheduled for a Lanier meet up yet?

No dates or anything yet? I was thinking today about a good location...
For those local to Lanier, what do y'all think about meeting up at Port Royale?
If there is too many or it gets too crowded, we can move over to the old Peir 29 dock. There is enough room there for an easy 6-8 boats if no one is there.

OK... Heads up on a new thread in a few days. Let's see if we can get a group together?

Thread name: "lake Lanier meet: spring"

Saw a lot of yammys on Lanier this weekend... Raise your hand if you were there!

Not us, we were with the group who made the trip down the Cooper River to Charleston. Hope to be out on Lanier soon.
