Lost tower to Bimini Bolt on 2018: Anyone else with Me?

Had a great day trip to Possum Kingdom Lake today. Awesome large cliff lake I had never been to. Packed up and left at 5:30am and hit the water by 8am.

In the excitement to get gone, the dock door didn’t get raised all the way and I hit the bottom panel with my bimini. Thought it didn’t do much damage to boat at first. Bottom of door was bent pretty bad.

After driving 2 hours I arrive at ramp to find my bolt is bent and barely holding on.Got it back in a little then re-enforced with a rope. After a long day on the water I forgot to pull the vent bolt, and now it lives on a Texas highway somewhere.
Any suggestions on best place to order? Diamond Towers, another Yamaha, Yamaha sports plaza, McMaster-Carr?

I may have to rely on one of you to get me thread pitch and rough dimension so I can look at McMaster...


Steepest ramp off ever been on today. Every bit of 30 degrees. Ramp drive way was set into 80’ cliff area.

$82 or $102 for a bolt. Crazy. Guarantee this is a $10 bolt from the original distributor.

Took some measurements today. McMaster has one close, but I’d like the stud length to be a little longer and the handle a little bigger. For $17 versus $125 I may settle.

Finally got around to ordering and installing the $17 McMaster stainless bolt. Was perfect length. I wish handle was a little bigger, but it still works well. For a savings of $140/$17 I’ll use it for a while.

I haven’t lost one yet, but last year found it on the floor in the cabin. I put blue loctite on it this year. And, I wrap a ratchet strap around it for long tows.
