today the deal is 2.99% for 5 years, 10 years @ 5.99%

Anyone know what tomorrow's incentive? Anyone know where to get a 20 year loan?

USAA will do a 15 year if you are military...

@ Rob, Funny, I've had USAA for over 25 years, I called them, the best interest rate is 4.25. I'm going with the yamaha 2.99 for the first 5 years.

I put a down payment on the boat. Brand new 242x for 62,499. I think 10k off retail is pretty good.

That's a great price! Take a look at Credit Unions too. I got a 2% / 10 year / no money down on a used boat....

That seems to be Yamaha's normal incentives. Got same deal 2 months ago. And they said was ending in August. Then they brought it back the following month.
Doubt Yami would do much better.

@Michael Rasmussen that sounds like a smoking price on a 242x. They got any AR's they are discounting lol

WOW! Who's your dealer? Make sure that price included the trailer and a second engine...

@Rigger join us on Facebook Alabama Jet Boaters!

Yea, that's really surprising! They must be a "big" dealer and don't need the Co-Op funds from Yamaha. There Boat "MAP" policy is pretty clear.

Perhaps they've built in the loss to some other fees like shipping and/or dealer prep, or like @Rigger says...they are losing some kick back to get the boat off their lot before winter. Smoking price no matter how you look at it!

AWESOME deal for sure!

If this is a new boat, not a demo, and the price is OTT, that kind of price would be impossible to beat. I'm assuming it is a leftover 2016. I know I could not touch that price where I live. I would say: go for it!!!
And because nothing much changed in new models, the discounts on 2016s 240s are generally not going to be major, more like $1,000 off MSRP or so.

that price does not include prep fees, destination charge, ect. Nor does it include NYs 8% sales tax ($5600). out the door after sales tax was 70k.

the dealer is in staten island NY and he said they bought too many X series this year and didn't want to store them, he sold a few at that price and this was the last one. I figured it was as good as it is going to get on that boat.

Okay, that sounds more realistic. Darned. Still a great price for a boat that you are unlikely to outgrow anytime soon.

yeah a 2017 x would be close to 10k more out the door
