Mounting a Thru Hull transducer

epoxy the fishfinder transducer to the lowest part of your hull (inside the boat of course lol).

Did we ever get to the bottom this depth finder arrow ? Keel or Bow or a mix of both LOL .. where is the arrow suppose to point !?

If you are talking about the directional arrrow on the transducer, the arrow points to the forward direction. This is a copy from the RV-200 thru hull installation instructions, we put in the Beneteau.

why does arrow say to keel ? its confusing AF ... I removed mine for winter and like a dumb bell forgot to take a picture

The one I installed was a 0° transducer. The one in the picture above is for a sailboat. They will typically install two, one on either side of the keel. The angles to compensate for the hull on either side of a sailboat keel. Mine is mounted forward of the keel, on a flat section in the hull, just one, and has one arrow on each side embossed in the x-ducer and it points forward to the bow. Picture taken at install.

where would mine have to correct ? its a 20 deg and the arrow is pointing to keel ( in other words ) directly to left of the location hole .. not sure if this is correct though

Randomly started checking out some Google search results and stumbled on this, which seemed helpful...

But I would imagine that different transducers may have arrows pointing different ways, no? If it says keel, I would imagine that it should point to the keel (as opposed to the type that points the the bow). I think.

If it is similar to this one and has an arrow and keel, then the arrow points to keel.
