I am very sad to report that David Norval Mitchell passed away on January 25th at 6:25pm at the age of 88, at peace and surrounded by his family.

Please join us when we celebrate Dad’s life with a toast at Dad’s favorite table on Friday evening January 28th at 6pm at O’Toole’s Irish Pub (1215 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon FL). David was a great father, grandfather, husband, singer, scholar and fountain of often obscure and esoteric knowledge.

Dad would prefer donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.

My Condolences Julian. I have a Dad and Mother in that same age group. Love em up while they're here. Great Dad pics!

My condolences, praying for you and your family.

Responding with a bummer symbol just won’t cut it. Sorry for your loss @Julian . Although I didn’t know your father, I’d bet he was very proud to have a son like you.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. Here's to your Father, as I will not be able to make it to O'Toole's. Hope he likes limericks.

Tip a Glass in My Honor

Tip a glass in my honor
And perhaps pour a sip on my grave.
It's not so much the whiskey
As your company I crave.
Sing me one of our favorite tunes
We used to join in at the pub.
Remember me fondly as you sing,
And I'll remember you to God here above.

The genuine smiles on everyone's faces, the way your mother is looking at your father, it all says a lot about him! I'll be tipping a glass on Friday night at 6pm from Memphis, NY.

Sorry for your loss my friend. Sending warm hugs

Sorry to hear that Julian, my condolences. Alheimers is an awful disease we unfortunately know something about. Great choice of venue for an Irish Wake.

Sorry to hear this. I am glad you and your family were able to be there.

That's a tough loss, I'm sure. Sincerest sympathies for you and your family. As I've lost loved ones I feel more assured and more comfort that heaven is close and they'll be there to recieve me when it's time. Hopefully I'm blessed enough to make it to 88.

Sorry Julian, T’s & P’s from our family to yours.

Very sorry for your loss, Julian.

@Julian I am sorry to hear this. Condolences to you and your family.

So sad to hear. He looked so full of life in the pictures you shared. Good times and good memories...
My condolences.
