Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
@MrWizard - missed your first reply. Cheers and sorry for hijacking your dash thread hope it turns out how you want. On that front you could considered aluminum plate and giving it a brushed look with a flapper wheel or rough steel wool. It might get hot in the sun though.
@MrWizard I am in the process of modifying my dash. I am swapping the head unit with the no wake switches as well and I already fabricated the head unit piece with HDPE Polyethylene (Starboard). Right now this is a quick fix to get the head unit in and playing but I want to eventually do the whole dash with carbon fiber. Not sure if I will do vinyl or not.
Here are a couple of pics of it so far. This is at 1/2" but I might plane down to 3/8" or maybe thinner. It looks too thick right now. Will get some allen or torx drive screws to mount to dash.

Hash tag and all .. Sweet! I have my boat now but no rear lower seats cushions as the person hired for the job decided to pass on it not having done boat vinyl before but a new company has accepted the job.
