  • :Welcome:good to see another Sugar Sand, we seem to be few and far between. Which engine does yours have? You're gonna enjoy it, the Tango's are very quick and agile.
I'm looking to buy a 2003 240 hp Tango 2+4, it is beeping at higher speeds , some times sonstant and sometime4 beeps, any clue?

Probably start your own thread in the SugarSand forum, and not under someone elses welcome thread, as many will not look at such an old thread from 2014.

Also understand you are troubleshooting a Mercury SportJet, as those beeps are generated by the Merc EFI ECU, and not the boat. So broaden your search to the SportJet engine threads and not just Sugarsand.

A merc sportjet 240EFI service manual should list those beeps as well.

Good luck,

"horn" column shows what the beeps mean, start by verifying that the small engine mounted oil tank is full and the cap is tight, the cap on the main tank must also be air tight. You likely don't have Smartcraft gauges so disregard the monitor column. Note that four beeps can also indicate water in fuel separator, that's the oil filter looking canister on the side of engine 1722347656724.png
