Have a new sumo max flow pump that is 12v believe it blew fuse in my cig plug outlet where stereo is (2006 sx230)

I am thinking I want to add one towards the back of the boat to make inflating tubes ect easier as well.

Drill small hole and run wires straight to the battery?

My only concern would be most areas back there get wet so dont wanna fry the plug due to water

This is where I installed a 12v outlet. I used a 20 amp fuse and went directly to the battery. I use it for my Fly-High bags.

I put one in the small cubby where the passenger cup holders are and another in the area just above the door to the under helm storage.

I put mine next to the flush hose attachment and directly to batter with fused wire. Hasn't got wet enough to cause issue. Have fused wire connected directly to battery.
